Bullets confident ahead of grand final series 7:36 AM March 1
The Brisbane Bullets say they are entitled to take plenty of confidence into the NBL grand final series against the Melbourne Tigers starting in Brisbane tomorrow night.
The Tigers arrive in Brisbane today, and centre Chris Anstey has predicted Melbourne can wrap up the best-of-five series inside four games, but Bullets veteran Mark Bradtke says his side's record-breaking winning streak should have the Tigers worried.
"We're pretty confident in our own ability," Bradtke said.
"We believe that we can get it done, we don't want to change our formula. We've won 20 in a row, it's been working, why change things.
"We beat them 2-1 throughout the season, so we feel we understand their game and how they play, and we know what we can do. And we've got a few things up our sleeves."
Meanwhile, Brisbane owner Eddy has chartered a Boeing 737 to fly 130 fans south for the two away legs in Melbourne to ensure the Bullets are well represented throughout the whole finals series.
Bullets Captain CJ Bruton says it is a wonderful gesture.
"That's just a special feeling, when we got told as a group it almost brings tears because it's a special time and for Eddie to go out of his way to do that, not only for the fans, but for just our team and the rest of the guys on the training squad, it's an honour to be part of a program like this," Bruton said.
